Game Overview

Striker came out in 1992 for MS-DOS, a time when football games were still figuring themselves out on the PC. It was developed by Rage Software, and it felt like a direct, no frills attempt to capture the sport's energy without the graphical polish of later titles. You got a functional menu, a basic team selection, and then you were on the pitch.

You control a team of players from a top-down perspective, directing passes and attempting shots on goal. The main objective is simple: score more than the opponent. The game's signature mechanics include a notably fast, almost frantic pace and a shooting system where power and accuracy are a constant gamble. Matches are quick and often decided by a single, messy goal, making every possession feel critical. It feels like playing a frantic, slightly unpredictable match on a tabletop made of electricity.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
