Play Sub Battle Simulator - Demo Online

Creeping through murky depths, you adjust ballast and hold your breath as enemy sonar pings creep closer—one wrong move and those depth charges will find you. The demo’s just a taste, but those pixelated blips on the radar will have you sweating.

Game Overview

Sub Battle Simulator was released in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Epyx. It arrived during a period when simulation games were gaining traction on home computers, offering players a chance to experience tense, tactical naval warfare without leaving their desks.

You command a submarine, tasked with navigating grid-based maps to locate and destroy enemy ships while avoiding their depth charges and sonar detection. The game relies heavily on managing your vessel's systems, including adjusting speed, depth, and ballast to remain stealthy. Enemy sonar pings grow louder as they close in, forcing quick decisions under pressure. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, but the threat of sudden destruction keeps every moment tense. It feels like a high-stakes game of cat and mouse played out in cold, dark water.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
