Pick a country, then mash buttons through pixelated Olympic events—pole vault’s weirdly satisfying once you nail the timing, but the relay turns into a yelling match when someone botches the handoff. Gymnastics? Brutal. One mistimed button and your athlete flips like a ragdoll.

Game Overview
Summer Games on the Sega Master System is basically a pixelated Olympics party in a cartridge. You pick a country (I always went with something obscure, like Belgium, just to mix it up) and then mash buttons through a bunch of summer sports against your friends. Up to eight players can take turns, which gets chaotic fast—especially during the 4x400 meter relay where everyone’s yelling at each other to not screw up the handoffs.
The events are hit or miss—pole vault feels weirdly satisfying once you get the timing down, but skeet shooting is just frantic. You can either grind through all the events marathon-style or just pick your favorites. The gymnastics one is brutal, by the way. Your little athlete flips around like a ragdoll if you mistime a button press.
It’s one of those games where half the fun is watching someone faceplant into the pool during platform diving. Simple, silly, and surprisingly competitive with the right group.
