Supapoon is one of those SNES games that makes you go, "Wait, how did I not know about this sooner?" It's got that classic run-and-gun energy—like if Contra went to a Japanese arcade and came back with a neon fever dream. The sprites are chunky and bright, enemies swarm in from all sides, and the power-ups are just ridiculous enough to make you grin (one turns your shots into literal screaming faces).

At first, it feels chaotic in the best way—you're dodging bullets, hopping between platforms, and figuring out which weapon actually works against that giant floating... thing. The controls are snappy, though, so once you get the rhythm, it clicks. It never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s the perfect mix of challenge and silly fun. If you dig obscure 16-bit action, this one’s a blast.
