Play Super Batter Up Online

Pitch from the batter’s eye view, time your swing just right, and watch those 90s fastballs fly—with real MLB names but none of the sim headaches. Domes sound hollow, wind actually matters in classic parks, and five-inning games keep it snappy.

Game Overview

Super Batter Up is one of those SNES baseball games that feels just right—not too arcade-y, not too sim-heavy. You get all the real MLB players from 1991 (though the teams are just city names, no logos). The behind-the-batter view makes pitching and hitting way more intense than the usual overhead angle, especially when you’re trying to time a fastball.

Pick from three stadium types—domes feel weirdly echoey, modern ones have that 90s neon vibe, and the traditional parks actually make wind matter. I usually go for 5-inning games because, let’s be honest, full 9-inning slogs on SNES can drag. The pinch-hitter and bullpen swaps add just enough strategy without overcomplicating things.

League mode’s there if you want a full season, but honestly, I’ve spent way more hours in 2-player mode trash-talking friends over stolen bases. Just don’t turn errors off unless you want every game to feel like a home run derby.
