Super Donkey Kong (J) on GBA feels like a stripped-down version of the classic arcade game, but with enough charm to keep you going. The first few levels are simple—just jumping over barrels and grabbing bananas—but the controls are a little stiff compared to newer platformers.

I remember getting stuck on a level where the vines you swing on don't always respond right, so you end up falling into pits way too often. The music is catchy though, and the sprite work holds up surprisingly well for a GBA title.

If you're into retro platformers, Super Donkey Kong (J) is a decent time-waster, but don't expect anything groundbreaking.
