Super Donkey Kong is a weird little bootleg NES take on the Donkey Kong Country formula—except everything feels stripped down and slightly off. The sprites are blockier, the controls stiffer, and the levels shorter. You still jump on enemies and grab bananas, but the physics make everything feel heavier, like you're moving through syrup.
The first level throws you right into it—no intro, no explanation. The music loops awkwardly, and the colors are way more washed out than you'd expect. It's not unplayable, just... off. Like someone tried to remake the game from memory after playing it once at a friend's house.
If you're into obscure NES oddities, Super Donkey Kong might be worth a quick look. But don't expect it to hold up against the real thing.
