Play Super Mario World - The After Years (Ultra) Online
Yoshi suddenly has this floaty midair hop, and the familiar levels twist into something new—just when you think you know where the next pipe leads, it spits you out somewhere wild. Those hidden exits aren’t playing around either.

Game Overview
Super Mario World - The After Years (Ultra) is one of those rare fan-made gems that actually feels like a proper sequel. You boot it up expecting nostalgia, and you get that—same bright colors, same satisfying *boing* when you bounce off a Koopa—but then the levels start throwing curveballs. Suddenly, Yoshi can do this weird flutter jump, and those underground pipes lead to places you don’t remember. It’s disorienting in the best way.
The difficulty ramps up fast, too. Those first few levels lull you into thinking it’s just a prettier version of the original, but by world two, you’re dodging fireballs in ways that’d make even Bowser sweat. And the secrets? They’re everywhere, but good luck finding them without a few accidental deaths first. I spent half an hour trying to figure out why a random block looked slightly off—turns out it was hiding a whole new power-up.
If you’ve played the original to death, this is the version that’ll make you fall in love all over again. Just keep an extra controller handy for when you inevitably throw yours across the room.
