Play Super Star Wars (Europe) (Rev A) Online

Blast through Tatooine as Luke, dodging Tusken Raiders and Stormtroopers—those pixel-perfect Death Star corridors still give me chills. The landspeeder levels somehow feel lightning-fast, even if the sandcrawler almost broke my SNES controller back in the day.

Game Overview

Super Star Wars on SNES throws you straight into the action—you're Luke with a blaster, jumping over pits on Tatooine while Tusken Raiders take potshots at you. The pixel art nails the movie's vibe, especially when you hit the Death Star levels and everything gets all dark and metallic. Some of the platforming is brutal (looking at you, sandcrawler section), but blasting Stormtroopers never gets old.

Weirdly, my favorite parts were the vehicle stages—speeding through Beggar's Canyon in the landspeeder feels way faster than it should on 16-bit hardware. Just don't expect the story to hold your hand; if you haven't seen A New Hope, you might wonder why you're suddenly shooting at a trash compactor monster. This is pure 90s arcade-style Star Wars with all the jank and charm that implies.
