Game Overview

If you've played King of Fighters 2002, SVC Chaos will feel instantly familiar—same four-button setup, same satisfying combos and special moves. But instead of team battles, it's straight-up 1v1 fights, which honestly makes matches feel more tense. The roster's wild too—you've got SNK characters slugging it out with Capcom favorites in ways that shouldn't work (a samurai vs. a dude in a mech suit?) but somehow does.

First time I booted it up, I went straight for Terry Bogard because old habits die hard, only to get wrecked by someone spamming Chun-Li's kicks. The Neo Geo sprites still hold up, especially when someone pulls off a super move and the screen goes nuts with effects. It's not the most balanced fighter out there, but that's part of the charm—sometimes you just want to watch a vampire throw fireballs at a cowboy.
