Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 - Turtles Kiki Ippatsu (Japan) Online

Pick your turtle and plow through Foot Clan goons—the punches land with a solid thud, and the tiny sprites somehow ooze personality. Shredder’s still a damage sponge, but that slot machine minigame between levels? No clue what’s happening, and I love it.

Game Overview

Ever played a TMNT game on Game Boy and thought, "Man, I wish this had a bit more oomph"? Turtles Kiki Ippatsu is that game. It’s Japan-only, which is a shame because the combat here feels way better than most portable beat 'em ups from that era. You pick your turtle (Raph’s my go-to, obviously), and suddenly you’re knee-deep in Foot Clan mooks—the hits actually connect with this satisfying crunch.

The sprites are tiny but full of attitude—Leo’s got his sword slashes, Donnie’s staff spins like a propeller, and Mikey… well, Mikey still fights like he’s half-asleep, but in a charming way. The levels scroll fast, bosses show up with way too much health (looking at you, Shredder), and there’s even this weird slot machine mini-game between stages that I still don’t fully understand. It’s got that classic TMNT vibe but with its own weird little quirks.

If you’ve got a soft spot for Game Boy brawlers or just want to see the turtles in a slightly offbeat adventure, this one’s worth tracking down. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on the rooftop level for an hour.
