Tekken: Dark Resurrection on PSP is basically Tekken 5 but somehow even better. It’s got all the bone-crunching 3D fights you’d expect, plus a couple of new faces like Lili and Dragunov who fit right in with the roster. The stages look surprisingly good for a handheld—some of them even have destructible bits you can knock opponents through.
What really surprised me was how well the controls translated to the PSP. Sure, the d-pad takes some getting used to for those precise sidesteps, but after a few matches, pulling off combos starts to feel natural. There’s even an ad-hoc multiplayer mode if you’ve got friends with PSPs, though good luck finding anyone still carrying one around these days.
