Tekken: Dark Resurrection came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2006, a portable version of the arcade update to Tekken 5. Bandai Namco brought the full roster and stages to the handheld, which felt like a solid achievement at the time. The main goal is to win matches by depleting your rival's health bar using punches, kicks, and character-specific techniques. Key mechanics include sidestepping to create angles, juggling enemies with air combos, and executing powerful rage attacks when your health is low. Matches are fast and demand quick reactions, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. It feels responsive and satisfying when you land a complex string of attacks just right.
