Game Overview

Tennis Cup came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Loriciels. It was a straightforward tennis simulation for its time, fitting right in with the era's growing interest in accessible sports titles on home computers. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel; it offered a no-frills digital version of the sport when such options were still fairly novel.

You control a single tennis player from an elevated side view, moving your character with the keyboard to intercept the ball. The main objective is to win matches by outscoring opponents through careful shot placement and timing. Key mechanics include adjusting the angle and power of your returns with precise keystrokes, and anticipating the AI's shots which vary in speed and spin. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, especially when the computer rallies aggressively. It feels like a tense, quick reflex test where every volley matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
