Play Terminator, The (Europe) Online
Dodging lasers in a wrecked LA as Kyle Reese, scavenging bullets like they’re gold—then later you become the T-800 and just bulldoze through everything. That synth soundtrack nails the "oh crap, they’re everywhere" vibe.

Terminator on SNES is one of those movie games that actually gets it right. You start off as Kyle Reese sprinting through a ruined LA, dodging gunfire from future robots while scavenging for ammo—because yeah, bullets are precious here. The pixel art nails that grimy, neon-lit warzone vibe from the film, and the music? Pure tension, like you’re always one step from getting cornered.
What’s cool is you switch between Reese and the T-800 later, trading guerrilla tactics for straight-up tank mode. Some levels feel like Contra if it was desperate instead of flashy—you’ll hug cover, ration grenades, and maybe yell at the screen when a Hunter-Killer drone shreds you for the fifth time. It’s unforgiving, but in that way where every checkpoint feels earned. If you’ve got a soft spot for brutal ‘90s shooters with actual atmosphere, this one’s worth the pain.
Just don’t expect to finish it in one sitting. Or ten.
