This one stood out for actually trying to capture the desperate, mechanical feel of the first film, even if it was tough as nails and a little clunky by today's standards.
You start as Kyle Reese, moving screen by screen through a ruined future Los Angeles. Your main goal is survival; you shoot hunter-killers and avoid laser traps while scrounging for precious ammunition and health packs. The pace is relentless, and the limited resources make every encounter tense. Later, you play as the T-800 in the past, which trades stealth for raw power as you smash through police barricades. Playing it feels like a constant, exhausting fight against overwhelming odds, which honestly fits the source material perfectly.
