Play Terror in Christmas Town Online

Creepy Christmas vibes—you're typing commands in a pixel-perfect town where carolers stop singing and shopkeepers never blink. That jingle bell soundtrack just makes it worse.

Game Overview

I first came across Terror in Christmas Town in a collection of MS-DOS classic games, though I never found out who originally made it. It's one of those late '80s or early '90s text adventures that really leaned into the eerie side of holiday nostalgia, back when pixel art and parser inputs were the norm.

You play as a kid trying to survive a night in a town where something has gone very wrong. The goal is to figure out what's causing the terror and put a stop to it before midnight. You move screen by screen, typing commands to examine objects, pick up items, and talk to the few remaining townsfolk who haven't frozen solid or vanished. The puzzles are logic heavy, and the game doesn't hold your hand; one wrong move or overlooked detail can leave you stuck or worse. Playing it feels like stepping into a snow globe someone forgot to shake, all quiet and cold and waiting for something to happen.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
