Play The Ninja Online
You play as Kazamaru dodging boulders, hopping logs, and getting chased by horses—sometimes by fire-breathing ninjas too. That wolf power-up? Forgot about it half the time.

The Ninja came out for the Sega Master System in 1986, developed and published by Sega. It was one of those early action games that felt ambitious for the hardware, trying to deliver a fast-paced ninja adventure when many titles were still figuring out the basics of side-scrolling.
You control a ninja named Kazamaru, moving through side-scrolling stages to rescue a kidnapped princess. The game uses a screen by screen progression; you clear enemies from one area before advancing to the next. Your main tools are a sword for close combat and a bow for ranged attacks, though you also pick up temporary power-ups like a wolf transformation. The pacing is relentless, with enemies and obstacles coming quickly, and the difficulty is steep, especially in later levels. It feels tense and demanding, where every jump and attack needs to be deliberate.
