Game Overview

Oh man, The Ren & Stimpy Show: Buckeroos! is exactly as unhinged as you'd hope—like someone took an SNES cartridge and injected it with pure cartoon chaos. One minute you're Ren, screeching and flailing your way through a level, the next you're Stimpy, blissfully oblivious as you belly-flop onto enemies. The art style nails that gross, exaggerated John K. look, right down to the way Stimpy's tongue flops around when he jumps.

It's janky in that classic '90s licensed-game way—some jumps feel weirdly floaty, and good luck figuring out what half the power-ups do without trial and error. But that almost adds to the charm? Like, of course a Ren & Stimpy game would be a little broken. The cowboy theme is just an excuse for levels filled with giant snot bubbles, sentient baked beans, and at least one boss fight that involves a psychotic horse. If you loved the show's brand of "what the heck am I even watching" humor, this is basically a playable episode—complete with Ren's inevitable meltdowns.

Fair warning: It's not for everyone, but if you're the kind of person who laughs at rubber nipples and screaming Chihuahuas, you'll feel right at home.
