I picked up The Ren & Stimpy Show: Fire Dogs for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a THQ release that fit right in with the era's licensed platformers. It was one of those games you'd rent for the weekend, drawn in by the show's bizarre humor, knowing it would be a strange trip.

You control Stimpy, and the main goal is to rescue Ren from a series of burning buildings. The gameplay is a mix of screen by screen exploration, frantic item collection, and using weird tools like a trampoline to bounce to higher platforms or a catapult that flings piles of kitty litter. The pacing is frantic, often giving you a tight time limit to find what you need before the fire spreads, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. It feels exactly like being dropped into one of their poorly thought out schemes, clumsy and chaotic from start to finish.
