I picked up The Ren & Stimpy Show: Time Warp for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a game published by THQ. It was one of those many licensed platformers that filled the shelves back then, trying to capture the show's weird energy on the SNES. You control both Ren and Stimpy, jumping through different time periods ripped straight from the cartoon's most absurd episodes.

You mostly run, jump, and attack enemies with Stimpy's slobber or by throwing collected items like watermelons. The main goal is to progress screen by screen, defeating bosses to collect pieces of a time machine. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially during some of the more clunky platforming sections. It feels exactly like wrestling with a stubborn, slightly broken cartoon.
