Play Time Commando Online

Dodge lasers in a cyberpunk future, then club cavemen with a bone—each era’s weapons feel totally different as you race against a brutal timer. Those pre-rendered backdrops still nail the vibe of each messed-up time period.

Game Overview

Time Commando came out in 1996 for MS-DOS, published by Activision. It was one of those games that tried something different in an era full of straightforward action titles. You jump through time, from prehistory to a dystopian future, and every setting has its own look and dangers.

You control a soldier trapped in a simulation, fighting through screen-by-screen environments. The goal is to survive each era, using whatever weapons you find, like a club in the Stone Age or a laser rifle later on. Combat is simple but tense; enemies swarm you, and the timer pushes you forward. It feels chaotic and unpredictable, especially when switching between completely different weapons and settings. Playing it is a rushed, messy scramble through history that never lets you get comfortable.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
