Game Overview

TMNT III - The Manhattan Project is a classic NES beat 'em up where you pick a turtle and bash through waves of Foot Soldiers. It feels like a natural follow-up to the second game—same side-scrolling brawler style, but with slightly tweaked moves for each turtle.

The first level throws you right into it—alleys, rooftops, the usual. You notice the differences between the turtles faster this time. Donatello's reach with his staff makes crowd control easier, while Raphael's short-range attacks feel riskier but hit harder. The bosses show up early, and some of them are just brutal if you're not careful.

It's got that old-school NES difficulty where enemies swarm you, and cheap hits happen. But there's something satisfying about clearing a screen full of Foot Soldiers with a well-timed special move. TMNT III - The Manhattan Project doesn't reinvent the genre, but it's a solid, slightly improved version of what worked before.
