Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M. came out for the Game Boy Color in 1999, published by Acclaim Entertainment. You control one of two Armorine soldiers, moving through levels screen by screen, clearing out insectoid enemies with an arsenal that includes a plasma rifle, laser, and flamethrower. Your main goal is to eradicate the alien swarm, progressing through varied environments while managing ammo and health. The game uses an overhead perspective for exploration, switching to a side view for boss encounters that demand careful movement and sustained fire.
