Game Overview

I first played Toxic Bunny back in the mid-90s, when it came out as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection from Vision Software, Inc. It was a time when shareware platformers were everywhere, and this one stood out with its oddball charm and a protagonist who was clearly not your average hero. The game fit right in with the era's experimental, often rough-around-the-edges titles, offering something a little different from the usual mascot platformers.

You control a grumpy, oversized rabbit named Toxic Bunny, armed with an array of strange weapons, and your goal is to blast through a series of vibrant, sometimes surreal levels. The gameplay involves screen-by-screen exploration, jumping between platforms while fending off bizarre enemies with weapons like the bubble gun or the egg launcher. One of the signature mechanics is mixing potions on the fly; you combine ingredients you find, and the result might heal you, harm you, or trigger an unexpected effect. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike without warning, especially in later stages. It feels chaotic and unpredictable, but in a way that keeps you coming back just to see what happens next.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
