Game Overview

True Golf Classics: Waialae Country Club is one of those SNES golf games that actually feels like you're playing on a real course—specifically, the tricky Waialae in Hawaii. The greens are stupid fast, and the bunkers are everywhere, so if you're careless with your approach shots, you'll spend half the round digging yourself out of sand.

You get to tweak your golfer's stats (power, putting, recovery, etc.) and pick a caddy, which actually makes a difference when you're lining up shots. The clubs feel weighty, and there's a real learning curve to judging wind and slope—none of that arcadey, auto-aim stuff. Tournament mode's solid, but the real fun is playing stroke matches against a friend. Just don't expect PGA branding; it's weirdly absent, and yeah, for some reason, every golfer is a dude.

If you like golf games that punish bad shots but reward smart play, this one's a hidden gem.
