Game Overview

Twin Bee 3 is one of those NES games that makes you smile the second it starts—bright colors, chiptune music that sticks in your head, and clouds that literally drop power-ups when you shoot them. You control this little bee-shaped ship (cute, but deadly), weaving through enemy formations while trying to juggle bell pickups mid-air. The trick? Each bell changes color and effect if you hit it again before grabbing it—sometimes you gamble for a better upgrade and end up with a dud instead.

It’s way more chaotic in two-player mode—screen gets crowded fast, but in the best way. The difficulty spikes a bit compared to the first two games, but the controls are so sharp it never feels unfair. Also, the final boss is this ridiculous onion demon? Classic NES logic. If you’ve got a soft spot for shooters with personality, this one’s a must-play.
