Play Ultra Baseball Jitsumei Ban 2 (Japan) Online

Pick the Giants, swing at fastballs that still feel a little off, and wonder why they bothered with a sequel when the first game was already just okay. At least the crowd cheers sound decent.

Game Overview

Ultra Baseball Jitsumei Ban 2 is basically the SNES baseball sequel nobody asked for, but hey, it exists. Same leagues, same teams, but now you can play some kind of road competition mode—not that it changes much. The pitching feels a little tighter than the first game, and the fielding animations are smoother, but don’t expect some revolutionary upgrade. If you’re into old-school Japanese baseball sims, it’s fine. Otherwise, you’re not missing much.

First ten minutes? You’ll pick a team (I went with the Giants because, well, obvious choice), mash some buttons to figure out the slightly clunky menu navigation, and then realize it’s pretty much the same game as before with a fresh coat of paint. The crowd noise is weirdly satisfying, though.
