Game Overview
If you loved the movie Up, this NDS game is a surprisingly fun little adaptation. You play as Carl and Russell, wandering through South American jungles, floating around in that iconic house-tied-to-balloons setup. The controls take a second to get used to—some of the platforming feels a bit stiff at first—but once you’re swinging vines or tossing Russell’s scout badges to solve puzzles, it clicks.
What I didn’t expect? The mini-games. There’s this weirdly addictive one where you have to balance Carl’s walker on narrow planks. And yeah, Dug’s there too, because a game without the talking dog would just be wrong. It’s not the deepest adventure out there, but it’s got that Pixar charm plastered all over it.
Just don’t expect a tearjerker like the movie’s opening—this one’s all about lighthearted chaos and occasionally yelling at Russell to stop wandering off.
