Download Up ROM – Sony PSP Game
You play as Carl, dragging his floating house through the jungle while Russell bounces ahead—solve simple puzzles, dodge vines, and try not to get annoyed by how cheerful that kid is. It’s basically the movie’s jungle adventure with PSP buttons.
Game Overview
I picked up Up on the PSP back in 2009, a portable take on the Pixar film developed by Heavy Iron Studios and published by THQ. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the system, fitting in among other movie adaptations and platformers of the era. The game follows the story of Carl and Russell as they explore the jungles of Paradise Falls, and it does a decent job capturing the spirit of the adventure on a handheld.
You control Carl for most of the game, slowly moving his floating house by pulling its rope, while Russell often scouts ahead or helps with puzzles. The main goal is to guide the house safely through each area, avoiding obstacles and solving environmental puzzles, like moving rocks or activating mechanisms. You also use Carl’s cane to whack enemies or interact with objects, and there’s some light platforming involved. The pacing is fairly relaxed, though some sections can feel repetitive, and the difficulty stays on the easier side, clearly aimed at younger players. It feels like a straightforward, charming little adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
