Game Overview

Upside Town came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Makh-Shevet Ltd. It was one of those odd, experimental titles from the early '90s PC era, where developers weren't afraid to try something strange and visually disorienting. The game drops you into a world where gravity seems broken, and the familiar rules of adventure games get turned on their head.

You control a young character navigating a town where buildings dangle overhead and residents stroll along ceilings. Your goal is to locate a missing magician by exploring each inverted screen, gathering everyday objects, and using them in creative ways to solve environmental puzzles. Interaction is mostly point-and-click; you examine odd items, combine them in your inventory, and apply them to the surreal landscape. The pacing is deliberate, and some puzzles demand real patience, but there's a consistent thrill in seeing the world slowly yield its logic. Playing Upside Town feels like untangling a delightful, persistent daydream.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
