Game Overview

Virtual Reality Studio was this weird, wonderful little MS-DOS program that felt like discovering a secret toolbox for building your own digital worlds. I remember booting it up for the first time—those chunky, low-poly shapes and garish colors looked ancient even in the '90s, but there was something thrilling about dragging walls and objects into place to make your own janky VR spaces.

You could cobble together maze games, flying sims, or just surreal landscapes full of floating pyramids (because why not?). The interface wasn’t exactly intuitive—half the time I’d accidentally delete something and have to start over—but when you finally got your creation working, it felt like wizardry. It’s clunky by today’s standards, but there’s still a weird joy in its rough edges, like digging through a box of old tech toys and finding the one that sparked your imagination.

If you’ve ever wondered what game creation looked like before Unity or Roblox, this is a fascinating little time capsule.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
