Game Overview

Wacky Wheels came out in 1994 for MS-DOS, developed by Beavis Soft. It was part of that wave of early 90s PC shareware, the kind of game you'd get on a floppy disk from a friend or a magazine cover. It didn't try to be a serious racing sim; it was pure, silly fun built for the hardware of the time.

You control one of several cartoon animals, like a raccoon or a frog, each driving a modified lawnmower. The main objective is straightforward: win the race against computer opponents or friends in split-screen. The signature mechanics are the weapon pickups you grab from the track to slow down others, things like hedgehog bombs that roll across the course or boxing gloves that punch rivals off their mowers. The pacing is fast and chaotic, with tight corners and constant item spam making every lap unpredictable. It feels like controlled mayhem, a frantic scramble where the lead can change in an instant.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
