Wild Streets came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed and published by Titus Interactive. It was one of those early top-down action games that tried to capture the feel of a gritty urban chase, back when PC gaming was still figuring out how to make pixels move fast and feel dangerous.
You control a small character, an outlaw on the run, navigating blocky city streets screen by screen. Your main goal is to survive by stealing cars, outmaneuvering cops, and shooting back at gangsters who pour into the intersections. The game throws constant traffic, relentless enemies, and narrow escapes at you; the pacing is frantic, and the difficulty spikes quickly. It feels raw and unpredictable, like barely staying ahead of a city thatโs actively trying to kill you.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
