Wild, The on GBA is one of those games that feels familiar but still has its own vibe. You start off in this bright, colorful world with simple controls—just running, jumping, and swinging a basic weapon at whatever creatures pop up.

At first, it seems straightforward, but then you realize how much there is to find off the main path. Hidden caves, weird little items that don’t do anything yet, and enemies that get trickier the further you go. The screen scrolls smoothly, which is nice for a GBA game, though some areas feel a bit cramped.

I remember getting stuck early on because I missed a tiny ledge you had to climb to progress. Took me way too long to figure that out. Wild, The doesn’t hold your hand, which can be frustrating or rewarding depending on how much you like poking around.

It’s not perfect—some of the platforming feels stiff, and the combat is basic—but there’s something satisfying about slowly uncovering more of the world.
