Play Wolfenstein 3D (Beta) Online
Battle through Castle Wolfenstein as B.J. Blazkowicz, shooting Nazis, dodging guard dogs, and uncovering secrets in this intense first-person shooter.
I first played Wolfenstein 3D on the Super Nintendo in 1992, a port of id Software's PC hit. It was one of the earliest first-person shooters on the console, and it felt starkly different from the platformers and RPGs that dominated the system at the time. The graphics were blocky, the colors muted, but the sense of immersion was immediate and intense.
You control Allied agent B.J. Blazkowicz, tasked with escaping Castle Wolfenstein by fighting through room after room of Nazi soldiers and guard dogs. The game progresses screen by screen, with secret passages hidden behind pushable walls and health packs or ammo tucked away in corners. The pacing is relentless; enemies appear suddenly from side rooms, and the maze-like levels demand careful navigation. It feels tense and claustrophobic, a test of reflexes and memory as much as aim.
