Play Worms - Open Warfare (EU) Online

Pick a team of worms, arm them with goofy weapons, and blow chunks out of the terrain to send your friends' squad flying. The touchscreen makes lining up those ridiculous shots way more satisfying than it should be.

Game Overview

Worms: Open Warfare came out for the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Team17. It was a solid portable version of their long-running series, fitting right into that era of quirky, stylus-driven games on the handheld. You could play it anywhere, and the local multiplayer was a big draw for quick matches between classes or on a bus ride.

You control a team of cartoon worms, taking turns to move and attack the opposing team across destructible 2D landscapes. The main objective is to eliminate all enemy worms using an arsenal of absurd weapons, from bazookas and grenades to exploding sheep and banana bombs. Signature mechanics include using the touchscreen to precisely aim your shots and the ninja rope for swinging across tricky terrain. Matches are methodical but can turn chaotic quickly when a well-placed shot collapses half the map. It feels clever and silly in equal measure, a game where careful strategy and ridiculous luck often decide the winner.
