Yogi Bear: Great Balloon Blast is one of those weird little Game Boy Color games that shouldn’t work but totally does. You’re basically steering Yogi through the air with a single balloon—pump it up to rise, let air out to drop—while dodging trees, birds, and whatever else the game throws at you. It’s janky in that old handheld way, but once you get the hang of bobbing up and down, it’s weirdly satisfying.

The levels are short and colorful, like playing through a Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Sometimes you’re grabbing picnic baskets (of course), other times you’re bouncing off clouds or getting chased by bees. It’s not exactly challenging, but there’s something charming about how unapologetically silly it is. If you’ve got a soft spot for retro oddities, this one’s worth a few minutes of your time.

Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s a game about a bear in a balloon, after all.
