Game Overview

Ever played a game where a frog time-travels through the 20th century? 20th Century Frog is one of those weird little MS-DOS games that sticks with you—mostly because it’s so absurd. You hop through pixelated decades, dodging things like runaway Model T tires in the '20s or getting flattened by a falling disco ball in the '70s. The controls are simple (it’s a frog, after all), but the charm is in the details—like how your tongue flicks out to grab era-specific power-ups.

At first, I thought it was just a Frogger knockoff, but there’s something genuinely funny about watching a tiny amphibian panic its way through history. The '50s level has you avoiding rock 'n' roll records, and the '80s? Let’s just say neon is not a frog’s friend. It’s janky in that old-DOS way, but that’s part of the appeal. If you’ve got a soft spot for games that don’t bother making sense, this one’s worth a leap.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
