Game Overview

AD&D Heroes Of The Lance is an NES side-scroller where you control a party of Dragonlance heroes—Goldmoon, Tanis, and the rest. It's one of those games that feels ambitious for the hardware, but the execution is rough.

You move through forests and dungeons, switching between characters mid-fight, which sounds cool until you realize how clunky the controls are. The hit detection is iffy, and some enemies just feel unfair. Still, there's something about seeing these characters in 8-bit form that hits a nostalgia button.

It’s not the best adaptation, but if you’re into old-school D&D or Dragonlance, it’s worth a look—just don’t expect a smooth ride.
