Adventure came out for the Atari 2600 in 1978, developed and published by Atari. It was one of the first games on the system that tried to build a world bigger than a single screen, giving you a place to wander and discover things on your own terms.

You control a small square that represents your character, moving from screen to screen across a simple kingdom made of castles and mazes. Your goal is to find and return the enchanted chalice to the golden castle while avoiding or fighting off creatures like bats and dragons. You can pick up items like a sword, keys to unlock castles, and even a magnet that pulls objects toward you. The game moves at a relaxed pace, but the dragons are fast and deadly if you're not careful; sometimes the bat steals whatever item you're carrying and flies off with it. It feels like exploring a place that's both mysterious and full of little surprises.
