African Raiders-01 came out in 1988 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Coktel Vision. It was a time when side-scrolling action games were common, and this one fit right in with its jungle setting and straightforward premise. You control an adventurer making their way through hostile territory, and the game doesn't waste time with lengthy introductions.

You guide your character through a series of screens, jumping over pits and fighting enemies with a limited supply of bullets. The main goal is to survive each area, collecting keys and avoiding traps that can end your run quickly. Combat is simple but tense; every shot counts, and mistiming a jump often leads to instant death. The pacing is relentless, with little room for error, and it feels like a constant test of reflexes and patience. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
