Game Overview

African Raiders-01 is one of those MS-DOS games that doesn’t bother with tutorials or hand-holding—you boot it up, and suddenly you’re knee-deep in jungle chaos. Enemies pop out of nowhere, platforms crumble under your feet, and somehow, you’re expected to make it out alive with a pocketful of treasure. The controls are simple (run, jump, shoot), but the jungle doesn’t play fair.

It’s got that rough-around-the-edges charm of early PC games—pixelated snakes strike faster than you’d think, and the music sounds like it’s being played through a tin can. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about figuring out its janky rhythms. One minute you’re cursing at a leap you swear was impossible, the next you’re grinning because you finally nailed it.

If you’ve got nostalgia for games where every death feels like your fault (even when it probably isn’t), this one’s a time capsule worth cracking open. Just don’t expect mercy.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
