Zone Raiders came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Image Space Incorporated. It was one of those mid-90s titles that felt right at home on the platform, a time when 3D graphics were still finding their footing and games often relied on strong concepts over polish. You could tell it was made by people who understood what made arcade-style action compelling, even on a home computer.

You control a small, agile hovercraft tasked with clearing each screen of enemy ships and structures. The main goal is straightforward: survive, eliminate all hostiles, and move to the next zone. The controls take some getting used to; your craft slides with significant momentum, making precise maneuvers a challenge at first. You fire a rapid stream of projectiles and can collect power-ups to enhance your firepower or defense. The pacing is relentless, with enemies swarming from all sides almost immediately, and the difficulty doesn’t let up. It feels tense and demanding, but also rewarding when you slip through a narrow gap or clear a crowded screen without a scratch.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
