Game Overview

Angel Kids came out in 1993 as an arcade game from Sega. It was a time when simple, colorful platformers were common, and this one fit right in with its cheerful, straightforward presentation. You don't see it mentioned much, but it had a unique hook that made it stand out on the cabinet for a moment.

You control two angels at the bottom of the screen, moving them left and right in unison. Their goal is to catch a falling girl on a stretched rope and bounce her upward, screen by screen, toward the heavens. The main challenge is timing the angels' movement to intercept her; miss, and she plummets. You also have to avoid floating obstacles like clouds and birds that can knock her off course. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly, demanding sharp reflexes. It feels like a tense, cooperative juggling act even when playing alone.
