Game Overview

Astro Flash is one of those weird, kinda janky Sega Master System gems where you play as the last surviving pilot of a transforming mech suit. The Dalaus aliens wrecked everything, and now you're stuck blasting through waves of enemies with this clunky but oddly satisfying weapon that shifts between different modes.

At first, the controls feel stiff—like most 8-bit shooters—but once you get the hang of switching between ground and flight modes mid-fight, it clicks. The levels throw these weird, almost abstract alien landscapes at you, and the music has that classic Sega synth vibe. Not gonna lie, some of the enemy patterns feel cheap, but there's something weirdly addictive about pushing further each run.

If you're into retro mecha games with a side of frustration, this one's worth a few credits.
