Game Overview

Atomic Chill came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by MicroMedia Publishers, Inc. It was one of those shareware titles you'd find on a demo disc or download from a BBS, fitting right into the era of straightforward, action-focused PC games that didn't need much explanation to jump into.

You control a lone astronaut navigating a derelict space station, clearing screen after screen of hostile alien creatures. The main goal is simple: survive each area, eliminate all enemies, and find the exit before you're overwhelmed. Key mechanics include careful movement through tight corridors, strategic use of limited ammunition, and timing your shots to avoid triggering larger swarms. The pacing is relentless, with difficulty that spikes quickly if you waste resources or rush into new rooms. It feels tense and immediate, like every decision could be your last.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
