Bank Heist came out for the Atari 2600 in 1983, developed by Activision. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the system, simple in concept but with enough challenge to keep you coming back. You played as a getaway driver, and the goal was to pull off a series of bank robberies without getting caught by the police.

You control a car from a top-down perspective, moving screen by screen through a city grid. Your main objective is to drive to a bank, wait for your partner to finish the robbery, then escape while avoiding police cars. You can drop dynamite to temporarily disable pursuing cops, but use it too often and more will appear, making the streets increasingly dangerous. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up as you successfully complete more heists. It feels tense and a little frantic, especially when your gas is low and sirens are closing in.
