Play Bases Loaded Second Season Online

Swing for the fences with those same goofy fake teams—Hawaii’s leadoff batter is still called Ho—but everything moves faster now. The pennant race will wreck you when the AI suddenly turns into prime Ken Griffey Jr. in the 9th inning.

Game Overview

Bases Loaded Second Season is basically more of what made the first game fun, just with a few tweaks. You’ve got the same made-up teams (Hawaii’s leadoff guy is literally named "Ho," which still cracks me up) and the same arcade-style baseball action, but everything moves a little quicker this time around.

The pennant race mode is where I spent most of my time—you’ve gotta grind through a full season, win at least 75 games, and then take down the World Series. It’s tough, especially since the computer loves pulling off ridiculous plays in the late innings. Oh, and they added this weird "biorhythm" thing where players supposedly have good and bad days—honestly, I never paid much attention to it, but it’s there if you’re into that.

Little details make it fun, like how Washington’s roster is all politicians and L.A.’s team is packed with fake Hollywood stars. If you liked the first one, this is more of the same, just a bit smoother. If you didn’t? Well, it won’t change your mind.
