Game Overview

Bass Class was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it didn't come from a major developer or publisher. It was one of those simple, straightforward titles that filled out software catalogs in the early 90s, a time when even a basic fishing simulation felt like a novelty on a home computer.

You control a lone angler from a first-person perspective, casting your line into various bodies of water. The main objective is to catch as many fish as possible, with each species having a different point value based on its size and rarity. Signature mechanics include watching the tension meter to avoid breaking your line during a fight and choosing the right lure for the type of fish you hope to attract. The pacing is slow and deliberate, demanding patience more than quick reflexes, and the difficulty comes from learning the specific behaviors of each fish. It feels like a quiet, solitary test of observation and timing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
