Play Bio Menace (Episode One: Dr. Mangle's Lab) Online
Dodge ceiling turrets, blast mutants, and hunt keycards in this gritty '90s side-scroller—Snake Logan’s got a spread gun and zero patience for Dr. Mangle’s lab experiments.

Bio Menace: Episode One came out in 1993, part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup from Apogee Software. It was a time when shareware was king, and side-scrolling action games were everywhere. This one fit right in, offering a solid dose of sci-fi chaos without pretending to be more than it was.
You play as Snake Logan, a special ops soldier armed with a pistol that quickly upgrades to a spread gun and grenade launcher. Your goal is to fight through Dr. Mangle’s lab, room by room, clearing mutants and dodging traps like ceiling turrets and floor spikes. You collect keycards to open doors and hunt for health packs and ammo while navigating maze-like levels. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is unforgiving; one wrong jump or missed shot can mean starting the screen over. It feels tense and immediate, like you’re always one step ahead of disaster.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
