Game Overview
Bio Menace is a classic MS-DOS action-platformer developed by Apogee Software in 1993, following the success of titles like Commander Keen. You play as Snake Logan, a CIA agent sent to investigate Metro City after reports of mutant chaos orchestrated by the sinister Dr. Mangle. When your plane is shot down, you must navigate 36 levels across three episodes, battling mutants, rescuing hostages, and uncovering a deeper conspiracy involving the mysterious Master Cain.Built on the Commander Keen engine, the game retains familiar mechanics like the status screen and top-left score display but introduces key differences: Snake has a health system, diverse weapons (machine guns, lasers, mines), and puzzle-like elements such as color-coded switches and locked keycard doors. The fast-paced combat, varied level design, and nostalgic charm make Bio Menace a standout title from the golden age of shareware gaming.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
